This Cessna 208 Caravan usually called Redbird is a frequent visitor
at a large number of Scottish airfields.
This Cessna 206, G-BAGV was the
stalwart para drop aircraft between 14th May 1973 and 5th may 2002.
It now serves as to train first
time parachutists on how to exit the aircraft.
The cockpit of Cessna 206 G-BAGV.
Some instruments have been removed and used on other aircraft
A speaker has been installed on
top of the instrument panel, to give a bit more realism.
A first time parachutist and an
experienced parachutist descend in a tandem arrangement. 28Nov04

Got withdrawal symptoms, needed something to photograph and the
Redbird came to the rescue. The Ochil Hills are in the background.

Can you spot the difference?
I'll give you a clue, look at
the registration.
A superb application of a registration.
My thanks to "the man" for allowing me the privilege of
taking this photo on the day the new marks were applied. 18Feb05
It is not all that often I get
the chance to photograph this aircraft with the engine running,
lovely noise from the PT6 turbine, especially so when it reverberates
off the trees at Strathallan.
