For my sins I am one of the people that will be forever "tarred with the brush" wielded by the late Tony Handcock, apart from being a blood donor, I am also a full licensed amateur radio operator, going under the callsign of GM0GNT (GM - because I operate in Scotland, 0 - because I have a class A licence passing a 12 words per minute Morse examination, and GNT because I thought that it would be easy to send on a Morse key.)

Things have changed and you no longer have to pass a morse proficiency test to gain access to the HF bands.
