Two Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines from The Caledonian Airmotive plant, presumably for use in the Perth College Engineering School.

G-OBAN Jodel

I like the colours in this picture. Interesting to see where the sign for Tayside Aviation used to be, alongside the Scottish Aero Club sign.

G-EFGH R22

I never tire of watching helicopters, especially R22s.

G-LIPE R22

This R22 is doing a fine job of balancing on top of a Cessna 150. The Zenair G-OMEZ provides a bit of colour in the background.

This one is operated by HJS Helicopters from Culter Heliport, Aberdeen.

G-WMPA Squirrel

The G8 Summit brought in three helicopters for surveillance work. This was the second to arrive.

The doors are open to stop the cockpit turning into an oven.

HB-GFH Super King Air

A regular visitor to Scone is this Swiss Super King Air

XZ349 Gazelle

The Leuchars based Army Air Corps Gazelles were working hard during the G8 Summit at Gleneagles. It always amazes me how nice these helicopters look when they are photographed in full sun light.

G-PASH Squirrel

The third and final helicopter for the G8 Summit with a more imaginative colour scheme.

Sentry

The eye in the sky, MAGIC a RAF Sentry Airborne command post maintaining station in the skies above northern Perthshire.

Sentry

There is not much one can to photograph a high flying aircraft with a 300mm lens. However this is the nightshift clocking off and heading south.
