Stormont

This sundial can be found on the wall of the parish church, quite out of character with the building but nonetheless very quaint.

The decoration has suffered a bit, the centre pieces of some of the English roses have fallen out, though the more hardy Scots thistle has fared better.

The inscription, in broad Scots is " Tak tenk o' time ere time be tint, for time will no remain."

Colen Wood Stone circle

A short walk off the road will lead you to the this stone circle. To be honest there is nothing much to look at. Another visit in the wintertime once the grass has died off may reveal the stones in a better light.
