Leuchars, 3

Tornado ZD849

ZD849, Tornado, a participant in the 2004 Qualified Weapons Instructors Course at Leuchars.

The nine cylindrical objects had me puzzled for a while. First I thought that they were cartridge cases, but they are in front which is not right for something falling from an aircraft and they are all orientated in the same direction.

Sorry about the text but I do not want anyone jumping to the wrong conclusions.

If you rotate the image through 30 degrees so that the subject is horizontal and on the same plane as the camera pan, then....

They are nothing more than high flying seaguls, and the cylinders are the images of the gulls with motion blur.

The truth is out there and is usually more down to earth. However if we are the only intelligent life amongst the multitude of planets that surround our little planet then it is an awful waste of space.
